Zombies attack! Our Protagonists scopes the scene, and improvises some weaponry.
I thought I’d go a little more ‘digital painting’ on this one – still trying new things, which probably won’t change any time soon.
Hey Jim! I think the soft-edged painting in the first panel works very well, particularly with the contrasting hard edged/outlined figure.
Lovin the ‘arrow’ panel, really clever way to move the story-telling on.
I’ve always been a fan, and just want to see more and what-happens-next, so I don’t think you need to worry too much on technique these days, just give us more blood ‘n guts! Do zombies have blood anyway???
Why do I get the uneasy feeling that these lil’ guys are lving out their zombie holocaust on the head of some immense Goya-like zombie collossus?
Or is it just me?
Agreeing with Adam there, basically!
@Jan: Yeah, agreed – I’ve got to up my production speed.
I’ve also liking the use of golf-clubs as instruments of death! Nice! The one-and-only time I ever liftted a golf club I nearly killed myself and a large family of small or medium-sized rodents (the Sciuridae).
Squirrels to most, and not on pupose you understand!
Needless to say I won’t be repeating this behviour again. We can all breathe a sigh of relief!
Any chance you can work a zombie-squirrell into the narative??
(I thought not!)
Gorgeous comic…gorgeous artist…the two were inevitable blessings from hell…
Please tell me you are watching the walking dead?
Leapin’ Lizards!!! is that Mr. ‘O’ back with us???, alive and well?? does he walk amongst us again?, in his own undead, post-Mandy-like way???
(Personally I think it’s ‘dead island’ that’s responsible, yes/no?)
Good to see you back dude!
This is awesome! I love the way you pack so much story into every panel. Great prologue by the way, especially as we didn’t know it was a prologue! I really thought that guy was gonna make it
@jarrett: I haven’t been watching it. No time.
@Jan: I’ll cover the issue of zombie animals in the future;)
@Steve: Hahaha, thanks! I’ve been getting that a few times – that’s what I was going for.
You gotta make time if indeed you call yourself a zombie fan…it’s a beaut.
Thanks for the warm welcome, Jan…
